Dear Parent,

I am writing this letter as a parent of Santa Maria del Popolo School.  I want to personally ask you to consider the benefits of a Santa Maria education.

There are many valuable reasons to consider an education at Santa Maria, but let me list a few of my own for sending my  four children there:

A belief that my children are acquiring academic excellence through a value-oriented curriculum taught by a dedicated, talented faculty.

Our relatively small school allows each student to receive more individual attention.  The advantage of this is seen when a number of our eighth-grade students consistently receive academic scholarships to Carmel High School on a yearly basis.  This is especially remarkable since over twenty schools from three counties "feed" into Carmel High School.  Several of our graduates assume leadership positions when they begin high school.  Our students are exemplary role models for their peers and younger individuals.

An opportunity to be exposed to and to practice Christian values-instilled values, which are ingrained for life.

Children have a higher degree of self-respect and motivation, as well as, a greater appreciation for our community as a whole.  This usually transfers to greater leadership roles throughout their adult life.

Greater parental involvement in their children's education from personal involvement in academics and athletics to parish functions and family-oriented events.  Catholic educators believe that the parents are the primary educators of their children and a Catholic School education solidifies the values taught at home.  This balanced commitment to church, home, and school allows each student to grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Obviously, I have some very strong feelings about this school, which I believe is the best investment I have ever made for the future of my children.

Questions about the school and registration procedures can be directed to Mrs. Kathleen Barton, our principal, at (847) 949-2335.  Or better yet, come and see what we have to offer.  Call the school and make an appointment to tour our facilities.
