Meet the Masters is a rewarding art program that introduces students in
Kindergarten through Eighth grade to master artists and their works.
Volunteers and teachers work together to develop each studentís ability
to view and interpret the artwork and then produce their own works of art.
Student art experience is also extended through curriculum projects.
The annual Art Fair showcases student creativity.
Music classes are held once weekly for each grade level.
Students in Preschool through Second grades meet for a thirty-minute
period while students in Third through Eighth grades meet for a forty-five
Each student will participate in two performances per year.
The first is an Advent/Christmas Performance involving the entire
student body. The second is a
Spring Performance consisting of a Preschool through Fourth Grade Disney
Program and a Fifth through Eighth Grade Broadway-style show.
Students in Third through Eighth grades prepare many projects in Music Class
ranging from Musical Notation Contests to biographical reports on famous
Each year there are several outside presentations for the students at Santa
Maria School. They include
performances by local schools, professional Theatrical Performances and
Students have the option of studying private voice or piano lessons with the
Music Educator at Santa Maria School. Lesson
times and fees can be discussed with the parents of each interested student.
The students in Fourth through Eighth grades are eligible to participate in
the school band program. Lessons
are given to the students on a weekly basis, and one band rehearsal is
scheduled each week. Information

Students in Fifth through Eighth grades may participate in the Handbell
program here, at Santa Maria School. Each
student will be asked to set up an audition time with the director at the
beginning of the school year. Any
